Our current book (by popular demand!) is Dara Horn’s “People Love Dead Jews”.  We have read a couple of Horn’s novels in the past, and now we will be reading a nonfiction collection of essays she has written that “explores how Jewish history is exploited to comfort the living.” “She challenges us to confront the reasons why there might be so much fascination with Jewish deaths, and so little respect for Jewish lives unfolding in the present.” All are welcome to join us on Sept. 18 as we meet to discuss this book. RSVP for details.

A note about registration:

As our community grows and continues to re-engage from pandemic life, we are being really intentional (kavana) about deepening relationships and supporting folks in finding meaningful ways to plug into this community. For this reason, we're going to put more effort and energy into tracking program registration, so we can purposefully connect folks together and also reach out about upcoming programming that might of interest. In order to do this work of building a Jewish community that is centered around relationships we ask that you:

- Please take a moment to register yourself and any members of your household who plan to attend this month's service.
- Have any friends, neighbors or relatives who would like to attend this service register themselves by sharing this link with them.

Thanks and see you soon!
