Join other Kavana folks to support the local campaign for a Seattle Green New Deal (SGND), which Kavana recently endorsed.  SGND aims to eliminate Seattle’s climate pollution by 2030 in a way that addresses inequalities and creates good new jobs.  We are participating in a grassroots effort to gather 100,000 signatures in support of SGND to deliver to Mayor Durkan and the new Seattle City Council.   We’ll meet at 9:30am a home in Ballard over coffee and breakfast snacks to learn about the SGND and receive all the information we’ll need to gather signatures, then head over to the Ballard farmers' market with our petitions.  We’ll wrap up by 12:30, but feel free to join us even if you can only come for part of the time.  Come rain or shine and participate in this opportunity to rise to the climate challenge, and build a more just, healthy and beautiful city. This is a kid-friendly activity!
