Join the Kavana community for an in-person afternoon with Jewish imaginative artist, graphic designer, and author Josh Tuininga. Josh will share the development, research, and creation of his graphic novel “We Are Not Strangers” based on the true story of a Seattle Jewish immigrant who helped his Japanese-American neighbors while incarcerated during WWII through a visually engaging presentation. Following his presentation, Andrea Soroko Naar of the Jewish Coalition for Immigrant Justice will give remarks entitled "Then and Now". Attendees will be able to enjoy refreshments and chat with Josh and Andrea after their presentations.
