Kavana partners Marleah and Slavian invite the entire Kavana community to share in their joy as their son Anton (Tony) Angelov is called to the Torah as a Bar Mitzvah. This Shabbat morning service will be led by Tony and by Rabbi Rachel Nussbaum, together with Chava Mirel on guitar, and it will feature a combination of Hebrew and English and lots of participatory singing. (All are cordially invited, and we wanted to highlight that this may be a particularly nice opportunity for families with kids approaching b'nai mitzvah age to get a glimpse into what this ritual can look like.) A kiddush lunch will follow the service.
