Sailing the Inky Seas: An intermittent series of writing workshops on Jewish forms and themes

Sit down with Rabbi Jay and Kavana partner Judith Mentzer for two unique experiences, blending classic Jewish text study and creative writing. No writing experience is needed, only enthusiasm or curiosity. 

• Wednesday, August 24: Prophet of Comfort. Judith Mentzer will guide participants through an encounter with the beautiful haftarot of comfort and consolation, drawn from the prophet Isaiah and placed in this season to give us courage and strength.

• Wednesday, August 31: Torah of Healing. Rabbi Jay will lead us through a midrashic teaching on Torah as a source of healing.
