Program Details:
Havdalah Club is a once a month, Saturday evening program for children in grades 3rd, 4th, and 5th. Each month the Havdalah cohort plays games, discuss and debate a Jewish value, explore Jewish texts related to that value, and join together for a short Havdalah ceremony to end Shabbat. It is a combination of fun, community, debate, and learning!
We are seeking participant's homes for hosting - preferably with an outdoor space which can be used as the classroom. Please email Education Consultant, Maxine Alloway, maxine@kavana.org, if you are interested!
Registration Info:
All youth participants must be registered individually. If you're registering more than one child, please fill out separate registration forms for each.
This program is offered as a series, as consistent participation helps build a sense of community among this cohort. As series participants, we assume we will see registrants each session, unless you tell us otherwise. There are a total of 9 sessions.
When registering, you will be prompted to indicate:
- If you are a Kavana partner or non-partner participant
- If you will be making payments monthly or annually (all-at-once)
- If you will be paying by credit card or check
We strive for participation of all interested youth and do not want registration cost to be a barrier. Please contact us at info@kavana.org to remove financial barriers.
If you have any questions, or would like to discuss programming further please contact us directly at rachel.o@kavana.org.
We look forward to a great year of learning, growing and building community together!
