Spending a lot more time with yourself (and maybe also your immediate family), reading the news incessantly, and trying to respond to unprecedented circumstances all present unique mental challenges and opportunities. Jewish mindfulness meditation helps us compassionately become more aware of our habits of mind and thought, allowing us to see our circumstances, our reactions to them, and our options more clearly, and strengthening our ability to direct our awareness and actions in ways that are most helpful to ourselves and others. In this session, we will learn and practice simple meditation methods that can be used any time. Instruction and guided meditation will be combined with short periods of silence. Appropriate for beginning, experienced, and lapsed meditators alike.
