Program Overview: Driven by a group of Kavana Middle School Program graduates, Chug Ivrit (Hebrew Group) was born... This group of rising 9th graders expressed interest in continuing their Hebrew learning and also getting to see one another on a regular basis.
Since this is a new, pilot program, if you are interested in registering your child, please be in touch with Director of Education, Cara Abrams, firstname.lastname@example.org.
While the goals will evolve as our group coalesces over the first few weeks, we will focus on the following goals:
Strengthening existing Hebrew reading skills
Developing a beginner’s grasp of Hebrew grammar
Speaking simple conversational Hebrew
Learning basic Modern Hebrew vocabulary
Listening to Israeli music, commercials, TV, films, etc.
Program Structure & Schedule: This program will meet on Wednesday evenings. We will begin with time for eating a pizza dinner and socializing from 5:30-6:00pm, and then shift to our Hebrew learning 6:00-7:00pm.
You will note that there are a number of payment options... there are separate pricing structures for Partners vs. Non-Partners, those who pay annually vs. monthly, and those who pay by credit card vs. by check. Please select the option that applies to your situation. If you have questions, or if the cost of this program feels prohibitive, please contact us directly (email@example.com). Our aim is to make the registration process as smooth as possible, and to enable every child who wants to participate to take part!
