Explore Judaism as spiritual practice. We'll cover a variety of modalities experientially and through reflection on sources in this 5-week series. You're encouraged to come to the full series to experience the range of practices available; drop-ins are also welcome. No experience necessary.
We continue this series with Blessings as a Spiritual Practice on Wednesday, 3/6. The ancient rabbis innovated the practice of bringing awareness of the sacred and gratitude into myriad daily acts -- from eating to ritual actions to experiencing the world around us with our senses and many more -- through berakhot (blessings). We'll explore the intentions and impacts of this practice through traditional texts on the subject and then experientially by practicing some berakhot surrounding food through a light, mindful snack.
