Did you know that 80-90% of people say it’s important to talk with loved ones and put their wishes about end-of-life care in writing – yet less than 30% have actually done so? Sound familiar? If so, this workshop is for you.

Open to Kavana partners and staff, Kavana partners Julie Katz, RN, and Julie Kohl, MD, will create space for conversation - over dinner! - about palliative and end of life care, helping you clarify what you want at the end of life. We will then discuss advance care planning, specifically walking you through how to complete advance directive documents that are legally valid in Washington State. You will leave with the knowledge and materials needed to name a health care power of attorney and complete an advanced directive.

Babysitting provided. Space is limited.

Second offering: If you can’t make it to this session, the workshop will be repeated on Sunday, March 31, 2019. Click here to RSVP for the 3/31 workshop.

All materials, vegetarian dinner, and babysitting are free of charge, thanks to a grant from the UW Cambia Palliative Care Center of Excellence and the Jewish Federation of Greater Seattle.
